AbstractThe article highlights the main forecasting methods: intuitive and formalized methods. Attention was paid to the formalized methods. The classification formalized models was made: static and structural, their differences are described. The reviews of regression, autoregressive models and exponential smoothing models, as well as neural networks and models based on Markov chains were made. Based on this work marked the advantages and disadvantages of each model. Keywords: AR model moving average, autoregressive model, based on Markov chains, exponential smoothing models, forecasting, formal methods, group accounting method argument, Holt model, Holt-Winters model, linear regression, neural network models, prediction methods, prediction models, regression models, static models, structural models
