Abstract
It was made an analysis of channel processes of small rivers of the Karelian Isthmus. It has been clarified especially small watercourses, among which the main decisions degree alluvial. This leads to the fact that non-alluvial river cannot be attributed to any of the types of channel processes allocated within the framework of today's regulations. It is concluded that the required expansion of the typing and the development of new channel deformations calculation methods suitable for small watercourses.
