Abstract
One of the significant elements of engineering-hydrogeological conditions are groundwaters. Many of the difficulties on the construction sites are caused by them: the flooding of pits, violation of the sustainability of their walls, breakthrough the bottom under the influence of water pressure, etc. In the future, during the operation of individual structures or in general for built-up areas, complications can also occure: basements flooding, corrosion of concrete and other materials, the subsidence of the Earth's surface due to dewatering. Hydrogeological and engineering-geological investigations, considered in construction, are an integral part of all pre-design works. This article will describe one of the building of the city of Ufa.
