AbstractIn the paper we constructed cartographic model maximum thickness of the humus layer of Plain Crimea soils based on the concept of zonal soil-forming factors, determining the energy value of the soil-forming process. The approach allows to allocate more precise soil etalons with maximum thickness of humus soil, for the purpose of soil protection, as well as for the planning of measures on restore or reconstruction of natural landscapes.
