Abstract
The article is devoted to the problems, tendencies and approaches of the modern icon-painting processes and icon-painting teaching processes. There is also a comparative analysis of the last century historical processes influence on the icon-painting state in Moscow and Krasnodar regions. Some new modern synthetic materials are suggested as an alternative to the traditional and natural ones in order to increase teaching and work processes efficiency and to adapt to the cultural and economic conditions.
