Abstract
The article discusses features of the legal regime of bilateral investment treaties and, applying a comparative legal method, establishes their common features. It also sets the value of these treaties for implementation of foreign economic activity. Special attention is paid to bilateral treaties “On Encouragement and Mutual Protection of Investments” in the Russian Federation.
