Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of the state policy in the sphere of security and protection of the family in 1917-1930. The study of the state family policy of the Soviet Union of that period leads to the conclusion that the first decrees laid the basic principles of family law, of the legal regulation of the safety and protection of the family, the basis of state regulation in this sphere. Thus, we can say that the state has paid great attention to motherhood, children, adopting legislation, creating special state organisations, having covered all areas related to the family.
