AbstractThe problem of socialization and social adaptation of younger adolescents has always been important, but was never as acute as it is currently in an unstable political and social situation in Russia. The weakening role of the family, devaluation of moral norms, differences in living conditions often lead to negative consequences in personality development of the child. Performed diagnosis and comparative analysis of some aspects of the process of socialization of children in complete and incomplete family was allowed to identify a number of conditions and factors influencing the educational potential of single-parent families. The study revealed the influence of children's living conditions in a single-parent family on the peculiarities of his personal development: the emotional well-being, self-esteem, attitude towards other people.Keywords: anxiety, self-esteem, single-parent families, socialization, younger adolescents
