Abstract
The research paper deals with the examples of social symbolism in the thanatological discourse of media in terms of pragmalinguistic analysis and interpretation. The author considers the linguistic means of a specific form of media texts – a Twitter-message of condolence topic: its structure and language means of social symbolism expression.
