Abstract
The article considers methods of assessment acceptable risk level while ensuring the functional safety of infrastructure and the risk matrix as a tool to rank and reflect the risks by determining the levels of frequency and severity of consequences. An example of assessing the risk of misalignment of a catenary for a portion of a contact network that allows before the onset of failure of the site to determine the risk of its occurrence, to plan your time and expenses for carrying out of control actions on the objects of the contact network, thus improve the reliability of the site and to provide the required quality of current collection.
