Abstract
The article describes methods, establishment and application of biometric technologies. The main groups of biometric techniques are allocated, and comparative analysis of the methods included in the data group is performed. The optimal method is selected based on the comparative analysis. The main areas of application of biometric identification are considered. The article describes the concept of a biometric system, and makes an overview of the key components of the biometric system. Examples of the construction of the structural and functional schemas for a particular application are provided.
