Abstract
The article analyzes the volumes of export-import operations between Russia and the European Union, as well as reviewed the commodity structure of foreign trade turnover of Russia with the EU countries, revealed the role of the parties in mutual trade. Emphasis is placed on the need for further expansion of Russian-European economic cooperation, including the decisions of trade disputes in the WTO, removing the sanctions restrictions and modernization of the strategic partnership agreement between Russia and the EU.
