Abstract
The article is devoted to the topic of formation of the Italian identity in post-war Italy. A fundamental role in this process is given to the national Resistance movement. Live cultural memory of the Resistance stands paramount factor in the preservation of national unity and opposition to the possible threat of the neo-fascist.
