Abstract
The article considers the importance of independent work of students which becomes more important for modern education. The means of independent work during foreign language learning let the students not only do their homework more qualitative but also choose various kinds of data for reports and projects on different subjects. Technology of critical thinking teaches students to work with great volume of different information.
