INSURANCE OF BUILDINGS IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract
This article reviews the norms of the national legislation governing the insurance of buildings. Identified the need to increase the level of insurance protection of buildings, and describes the difficulties of the adoption of the law on compulsory insurance of real estate. On this basis it is concluded that the best option for the development of insurance of buildings is to encourage citizens to voluntary insurance. The main tools of citizens motivation to voluntary insurance should be co-financing when obtaining insurance coverage, as well as Federal and regional programs of insurance.
