Abstract
This article is devoted to consideration of the subsequent "think tanks" in the example of the USA and China, including the activity of "think tanks" itself. The study suggests that the appearance of "think tanks" began with the United States and then spread to other major countries. Also, it is important to realize that the "think tanks" have different types of political influence on the various stages of the policy cycle.
