Abstract
The author studies cognitive-developing tourism and its role in the process of socialization of medical students. Special attention is given to the issue of supporting and creating of conditions for developing of volunteering stated in the Strategy of National Security and State program on patriotic education in 2016-2020 as a guideline in the process of civil-patriotic education of students.
