Abstract
In this article a study of the investment climate as one of the most important indicators of development and attractiveness of the Republic of Mordovia. Describes the economic and geographical situation of the region. Brief description of the main directions of development of the Republic, such as: socio-economic development, industry, raw material base, construction, sports. Presents the results of the Republic of Mordovia in the national rating of investment climate in subjects of the Russian Federation, which covers 76 regions. The main advantages of investing into the region: a favorable geographical position and developed transport infrastructure, the political stability in the region, sustainable economic development, stability of the operational environment, high research potential, a comfortable environment for life, active support for small and medium businesses. The dynamics of change of volumes of attracted investment from all sources of funding for 2010-2015 Describes the activities that will improve the investment climate of the Republic of Mordovia.
