Abstract
This article reviews the features of the development of the defense industry of the Republic of Korea in the conditions of modern international relations. The relevance of this study is due to the fact that today South Korea's defense industry is developing rapidly and already competes with many countries.
The study suggests that in addition to the import of weapons and military equipment in South Korea focuses on the creation of own industrial base of the defense industry. The solution to this problem is under regular control of the state and with his direct participation.
