Abstract
This article analyzes the model of relations between the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) with the public in the context of the religious situation in Russia in the late 20th - early 21st centuries. This material, outlining the key vector in the rhetoric of Church organization analyzed, shows the components of the development of modern Orthodox theology; the findings can be used in the forecasts of the development of theological thought and analysis of the religious situation in Russia.
