ELECTROSLAG REMELTING AS METHOD OF RECYCLING SCRAP

Abstract
In the present article describes the technology of processing scrap alloy steels by electroslag remelting. Physical modeling of the melting scrap in the liquid slag was achieved. Regularity melting the scrap on the surface of the slag bath was recorded by observing. It is found that the chemical composition of the resulting metal and scrap are identical, there is no scrap fraction in metal. Represent a process for experimental melting and other experiments that allow to determine the optimum parameters for the installation of the technology. The analysis of the chemical composition of the resulting products and studied its microstructure.
