Abstract
The relevance of the topic based on the need to improve the quality of training of students of architectural faculties of the universities of the country. It's no secret that with each passing year the quality of entrants on creative specialties falls. On the pages of the proposed article, the author attempts to share teaching experience prototyping as a subject at the Architectural Department of the PGUAS, offers his vision of the object and its methods of work, to motivate students, to help him in discovering creativity. One of the goals of the learning laboratory is to provide an expressive means of project activities. Perception of the layout as a volumetric forms naturally to undergraduate students. The layout is closer to the real ones, because is more visible than the flat image, and therefore in the starting teaching can be more clear. The layout during the school of design, especially in the field of architecture and design "on the initial stages of the project allows the student in sketch form easier and faster feel and reveal the amount, reflect on his position in space, map scale and dependency on it from surrounding objects.
