Abstract
In the paper the problems of design of the fourth generation wireless networks (4G) are considered. The comparative analysis of the 4G standards LTE-Advanced and WirelessMAN-Advanced is performed and the advantages of LTE technology are shown. The structure of LTE communication network is described, the energy characteristics of the network and the base stations number and network capacity are calculated for the city of Taganrog. The estimation of communication range dependence on frequency in different types of buildings is completed.
