AbstractThe article reveals the fundamental meaning of the concept of "national idea" in the light of historical and theoretical experience of Russian philosophical-legal thought XIX – beginning of XX century: used theoretical experience B. N. Chicherin, V. S. Solovyov, P. I. Novgorodtsev. The author of the article suggests to follow the principle of correlation of national and universal in social reality in the aspect of positive awareness of human involvement in legal reality.Keywords: national idea
