Abstract
In today's information society, fast-flowing social time and complexity of mass communication becomes relevant the question of the image of reality that modern broadcast media. The article considers the problem of the social nature of Russian journalism, and it generated a set of spatio-temporal dispositions in the media reality. Chronotop detect specific catastrophic events played in the media, last updated on the impact of this phenomenon on the media picture of modernity.
