Abstract
The article examines various the ways and goals of reinterpretation the conventionalities of written (printed) text undergo in Carroll’s books, and the ludic principles that underpin these deviations from the canonical. The tenets of ludic fiction can be used as a framework for the analysis of various aspects of this author’s books as well as his creative work as a whole.
