Abstract
The need to identify priorities for the development of modern regional economy has increased the scientific and practical interest in the functioning of the assessment of the impact of small business on the level of socio-economic development of the region. In the present article is designed integral index which allows ranking the regions of the Northwestern Federal District in terms of impact of small business on the level of socio-economic development of territories.
