Abstract
The article considers the possibilities which the personal-based approach in the teaching Russian literature for foreign students gives. The research didactic method is described. In conclusion it is concluded that the research method of teaching literature is one of the most effective means to achieve the educational purposes because it stimulates motivation for reading.
