Abstract
The article presents an overview of empirical studies of ideas about security. The urgency of studying these ideas is determined by the importance of their role in regulating the activity and by the consideration of man as the subject of security. It was made a conclusion about prospectivity of further research of ideas about safety in the capacity of a multicomponent system, as well as the component structures of consciousness and personality.
