Abstract
The article is devoted to research of influence of modern waterproofing additives on the strength at compression and water absorption of cement-sand mortar. Studies have shown high efficiency of the studied waterproofing additives based on organometallic compounds and allowed to identify the most effective additive is zinc stearate, which reduces the water absorption of cement-sand mortar, as in the early stages and within the statutory period of saturation with water in comparison with the control composition. The normative strength of the cement-sand mortar with all the studied water-repellent additives does not inferior to the strength at compression of cement mortar without additives.
