Abstract
The problem of the negative impact of road noise on the territory adjacent to roads and human health is particularly acute at the moment. The aim of the research was to determine the efficiency of sound dampening screens located along the busy street of Penza. It is shown that the installation of such structures can reduce the average value of the sound level in the hours "peak" and bring it closer to the normative.
