Abstract
This article deals with the peculiarities of formation of writing skills in the process of learning a foreign language in a technical high school. Written statements should be characterized by students of language correctness, clarity of thought, logical harmony, informative. Creating a coherent text, writing must do a series of sequential steps: define purpose statements, logical plan to build it, select the language means of expression during the presentation of ideas, and to verify the correctness of the created text. The ability to express their thoughts in writing assumes ownership of its linguistic structure, which includes certain structural features of a paragraph and the syntactic relation between them. Education of writing skills through exercises that take into account its structure and methods of presentation of ideas, is effective.
