Abstract
The article provides information about the main statistical indicators of development of small and medium-sized businesses in the Penza region. The dependence of the development of entrepreneurship from state regulation of business activity. Recommendations are given for solving the existing problems and achieve sustainable development of small and medium-sized businesses in the coming years.
