Abstract
This article focuses on the theoretical study of the problems of development of emotional sphere of pupils of special (correctional)schoolofVIIIkind. Analysis of studies shows that the problem of development of emotional sphere of younger students with intellectual disabilities attracts many professionals. The study notes that the emotional sphere of students with intellectual disabilities is different from the norm in many ways: in terms of intellectual regulation of emotional displays, degree of differentiation of emotions, the ability to express their attitude to reality speech and non-verbal means, as well as to understand the emotional state of others. This problem and currently remains relevant.
