Abstract
The factors causing the alkaline (inside) corrosion of concrete as a result of the interaction of alkali contained in the binder, with the active silica aggregate were considered. It is shown that geopolymer concrete with a high alkali content in its composition has low tendency to alkaline corrosion than the portland cement concrete.
