Abstract
In the article the problem of effective combination of all-technical and profile texts in the course of training in a foreign language in technical higher education institution is considered. Need of use of all-technical texts only at the initial stages of training is emphasized. Expediency of gradual transition to specialized texts on a training profile locates. As a peculiar feature of the profile text a significant amount of terms is noted.
