Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of some personality characteristics of spouses in actual and officially registered marriages. The obtained data allow to suppose that the preferences of the actual marriage in relation to the official marriage impacted by such psychological features of a person as a high level of significance of intimate-sexual sphere and preference to remain more independent and autonomous in relation to the partner.
