Abstract
Today, Germany has the most developed and a large network of think tanks in Europe. What is the secret of success? To answer this question, the author examines the experience of German think tanks in the efficiency of the country's foreign policy activities, as well as methods of analysis and research interests of these institutions. In the article are given types of think tanks and how they interact with the target audience and outline the overall trends and prospects of think tanks.
