Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis of the phenomenon of child abandonment in the face of a certain socio-historical context. The study reflects the periods of updating analyzed phenomena, the dynamics of institutionalization of social assistance to children left without parental care. The article opened and describes the reasons behind the existence of social orphanhood.
