Abstract
In this article discusses the place of Russian universities in the national innovation system. Assesses the state of innovation activity of Russian universities, revealed positive trends and challenges. Among the problems highlighted the lack of monitoring and evaluation of scientific results in order to further use them directly in the enterprises. We analyze the impact on university science increased government support. A comparative analysis of innovation activity of Russian universities in other countries.
