Abstract
In the article features of training in summarizing of the profile professional focused literature in a foreign language are considered. Summarizing is treated as the concise statement of the contents of article, documentation conveying the main meaning. Distinctions in training in summarizing at the initial and advanced grade level are analyzed. The plan, structure, cliche for summarizing are provided.
