AbstractThe article discusses the pedagogical potential of religious holidays on the example of Islamic holidays in Kyrgyzstan – «Eid al − Fitr'» and «Eid al-Adha». Celebrated their significant role in the spiritual and moral formation of the individual. It is emphasized that the distorted perception of these holidays have a negative attitude towards the religion and culture that serves as an obstacle to convergence of Islam and Christianity, the formation of religious tolerance.
