Abstract
Structure, occurrence conditions, distributions to the Penza region dark grey, black sea clay of upper cretaceous are considered. According to laboratory researches thickness is subdivided into three zones or the engineering-geological elements, the indicators of the basic engineering-geological properties characterized by generalized values.
