Abstract
The concept of the contract system in procurement disclosed in this article, in addition, it revealed the essence and necessity in contemporary period. Relevance of the topic is related to changes in legislation on procurement of goods, works and services for state and municipal needs. The authors concluded that the contract system significantly affects the economy.
