Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of attracting investment to the region, which is one of the most actual problem of socio-economic development of territories. Vologda region is not ready to fully join the competition for scarce investment resources, as evidenced by the analysis of statistical information: the investment activity in the region remains low, insufficient to ensure stable economic growth. The author discusses the main problems of the formation of a favorable investment climate in the Vologda region, as well as the main directions for their solution.
