Abstract
This article proves the necessity of shaping the linguistic competence of a specialist transport industry, defined the concepts of competence and competence, culture speech in normative, communicative and ethical aspects as the ability to adequately select acceptable in certain situations language tools. Understand the possibility of studying individual sections of the discipline in the formation of language competence, the conclusion about necessity of formation of linguistic competence as an important component of professional competence.
