Abstract
The author investigates celebrations, held in the Vyatka province on the occasion of capturingParisand victorious ending of war with the Napoleonic France. Celebration of the Victory Day was marked by the combination of official ceremonies and common holidays. The public prayers were held. On the artistic meetings students of theVyatkaseminary read their patriotic poems. Public open-air merrymaking with music, dances, illuminations and entertainment also took place.
