Abstract
The article deals with the development of the so-called rural banks network in theVyatkaprovince in the end of XIX – beginning of the XX centuries. Being a primary element of credit system, these establishments were initialized to support all groups of peasantry. The author observes particular features of their foundation, organization, functioning mechanism and influence of local economical factors on their work.
