Abstract
The article covers the problem area of the junction of pre-University and professional design education. This study allows to structure the concept of «the essence of design» and its artistic principles, as invariants method artistic modeling. The need for substantially semantic motivation of children's creativity is seen as a prerequisite to ensure the integrity of the learning method, understanding the essence of the profession.
