Abstract
This article reviews the rules of domestic law governing the legal basis for such a method of enforcement of obligations as a deposit. Currently, the deposit is not widely used for civilian purposes because of the presence of a number of problems encountered in its implementation. That is why it seems appropriate to analyze and systematize the existing knowledge and practical experience in the application of this method of enforcement of obligations.
